Track title: Johnny's Song

Meet Johnny Lazarro, mad street busker, refugee and survivor of the Dili Massacre. Living in Melbourne as a social outcast, Johnny struggles to piece together the fragments of his difficult life. This song is Johnny's reflection on having lived through the Dili Massacre as a child and having watched his own mother die in his arms; shot dead by an Indonesian soldier. Johnny, or 'Juan', is one of the main characters in the novel, the taste of apple.
